You just need to keep in mind that these are not full time jobs, so don't expect a lot, but the money you earn here will definitely be useful in getting you through.

So where do you find work while on a backpack trip? Often, you need not to look further as you can always work in the place that you are staying in. Many inn keepers and small hotel managers are willing to take in backpackers as temporary workers. Work here range from simply making and tidying the rooms, to being a waiter, to those jobs that might require technical skill, such as a temporary repairman. The managers often post notice boards about their needs, so you can easily see this the moment you check in. Also, aside from paying you with money, you can make arrangements to simply pay off your stay with work.

You can also look out for a job in the town you are staying in. The many establishment here are usually on the look out for temporary workers that they can hire to fill in their needs immediately. The most common places that get backpackers for workers are the bars, cafes and restaurants. Stores are also good choices for backpackers looking for a job. Another good idea for a quick job is to look out for events that are being organized in the area, and inquire if the organizers need additional manpower.

Agencies are also a way for backpackers to get a job. Here, you can simply sign up and they will then immediately notify you with an available opening. In fact, some agencies would go as far as to have you booked with an employer even before you arrive and can also get you booked in several key points of your journey. Going to an agency is also rather easy, as you can simply register online on the many websites that provide such services.

It would also be a good idea for backpackers to leave their contact number in the places that they had work in. This way, the employer can easily contact you in case they need you again for new work, or they can refer you to other employers.
